JOB DESCRIPTION

Ethio Impact Consulting Plc is seeking a Sr. Accountants on behalf of Jacobs’ Integrated Farm PLC.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to manage financial transactions and assist in accurate and timely financial reporting. This role leads the month-end close process, manages complex accounting activities, supervises junior staff, and serves as a key point of contact for external audits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform regular account reconciliations.
• Support timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure adherence to tax laws, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
• Handle inventory and cost accounting, including variance analysis.
• Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations accurately and on schedule.
• Keep complete, organized records of all financial transactions for audit readiness.
• Assist with external and tax audits by providing documentation and clarifications.
• Coordinate with finance officers to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Apply strong knowledge of Ethiopian accounting principles and relevant regulations.

About You

REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven 5 years and above experience.
• Experience with Peachtree is required.
