Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Director at ChipChip will oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain, focusing on farm sourcing, FMCG procurement, inventory control, and alignment with the company’s app-based e-commerce operations. This role is key to ensuring efficient sourcing, streamlined operations, and optimized inventory management to meet customer demands through ChipChip’s group-buying and bulk-delivery models.
The Supply Chain Director will collaborate closely with logistics leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure the overall supply chain supports ChipChip’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy to optimize farm and FMCG product sourcing.
- Streamline operations to align with ChipChip’s group-buying model and app-based e-commerce platform.
- Identify and implement opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements.
2. Farm and FMCG Sourcing Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, FMCG suppliers, and vendors to ensure consistent product quality and availability.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
3. Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Oversee inventory levels, ensuring availability without overstocking or waste.
- Implement effective inventory control processes to optimize stock turnover and reduce holding costs.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate tracking, storage, and dispatch of goods.
4. E-commerce Integration
- Collaborate with technology teams to align supply chain processes with the app’s functionalities, such as real-time inventory updates and order tracking.
- Leverage data from the app to forecast demand and inform procurement strategies.
- Support marketing and sales teams in maintaining consistent product availability for group-buying campaigns.
5. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, including farm sourcing managers, FMCG buyers, and inventory controllers.
- Foster collaboration with logistics, technology, and finance teams to ensure a seamless supply chain.
- Ensure adequate staffing during peak demand periods to maintain efficiency.
6. Financial Management and Reporting
- Manage the supply chain budget, focusing on cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement, inventory, and supplier performance.
- Prepare regular reports to inform strategic decisions and improve supply chain outcomes.
About You
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, with specific expertise in farm sourcing, FMCG procurement, and inventory control.
- Experience in e-commerce or technology-driven supply chain operations is a strong advantage.
