About the Job
Quantity Surveyor (QS) in the Tender & Estimation Department is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material take‑offs, and tender documentation for building projects. This role ensures competitive pricing, cost efficiency, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed BOQ, cost breakdowns, and tender submissions for building and renovation projects.
- Analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to extract accurate quantities.
- Develop cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and preliminaries.
- Ensure pricing aligns with market rates, project requirements, and company strategy.
- Perform precise quantity take‑offs for civil, architectural, and MEP works.
- Verify quantities submitted by subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain updated measurement sheets and cost databases.
- Prepare tender reports, cost summaries, and risk assessments.
- Maintain organized records of all tender submissions and cost data.
- Update cost databases and historical pricing for future tenders.
- Review tender documents, specifications, and project scope to identify risks, ambiguities, and cost impacts.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to clarify technical requirements.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison sheets.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance teams.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Support negotiation processes during tender finalization.
- provide cost‑saving proposals and alternative materials or methods.
- Assist in developing cost strategies for competitive tendering.
- Support post‑tender cost analysis and project budgeting.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in QS roles within building construction.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market pricing.
Proficiency in MS Excel, BIM or similar QS software.
