JOB Summary:

The Maintenance Planning & Safety Officer I is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role focuses on organizing maintenance schedules, monitoring equipment performance, and promoting workplace safety within the factory.

Key responsibilities:

· Assist in planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance activities for machinery and equipment.

· Monitor machine performance and provide reports to supervisors.

· Support the development and implementation of safety protocols, procedures, and training programs.

· Conduct safety inspections and audits, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.

· Maintain records of maintenance activities, safety incidents, and compliance reports.

· Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.

· Participate in on-the-job training and continuous professional development.

· Promote a safety-first culture among all factory personnel.

About You

Qualifications

· Education:

o BA in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field; OR College Diploma (10+3) / Level IV TVET in General Mechanics, Industrial Mechanics, or GMFA.

Required Skills:

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance planning, safety, or related industrial roles.

· Basic knowledge of mechanical and industrial systems.

· Awareness of occupational health and safety standards.

· Ability to plan, organizes, and monitors maintenance tasks.

· Strong communication, teamwork, and reporting skills.

· Attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance.

· Willingness to learn and develop professional skills.
