About the Job

Purpose of the Job:

To support the Branch’s customer service delivery and operational efficiency by ensuring prompt and careful cash delivery, movement, and collection, keeping control ofthe vault, and reconciling accounts. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Authorize transactions originated by customer service officers, check the correctness of all transactions, and take corrective measures whenever any irregularity occurs.
  • Check all books of accounts are in balance, follow-up reconciliation of suspense accounts, and prepare all financial reports of the Branch.
  • Keep custody of cheques, payment instruments, and passbooks. 
  • Keep under his/her custody printed check books received from the Branch Manager to be delivered to current account holders and ensure proper delivery of the same.
  • Open and administer the Primary Vault dually with the Branch Manager and solely administerthe Secondary Vault. 
  • Initiate cash consignments to/from Treasury by maintaining the established cash holding limit of the Branch, and supply cash against signature to the cashier for the day’s operations, and make the necessary replenishments.
  • Receive, verify, lodge,e and withdraw cash to/from Primary and Secondary Vault and post transaction related to cash deposit/withdrawal to/from vault in the System
  • Open and assign till for Customer Services Officers, and control their Till limits. 
  • Collect/deliver cash from/to the Customer Service Officers.
  • Authorize transfer of cash from Vault to Till and from Till to Vault. 
  • Check and balance the cash position against the System. 
  • Close Tills at the close of Business and at breaks, and check and confirmthe overall cash balance. 
  • Manage cash areas and customer inquiries on cash activity. 
  • Assist CSOs in handling and counting bulk cash deposits/withdrawals. 

About You

Qualification: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or related fields.

Experience: 

  • Four years of related Banking experience.
  • IFB training Certification is advantageous.
