About You

Candidate Profile (What We Are Looking For)

We are looking for a Junior Accountant at the very start of their career – a fresh graduate or someone with up to a year of experience – who is accurate, honest, eager to learn, and ready to build a real accounting career under the guidance of our Accountant.

  • Diploma or BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Fresh graduate, or up to about 1 year of experience – this is deliberately a junior post. If you have more than 3 years of experience, please see our Accountant vacancy instead.
  • Careful and precise – you notice when a number or a name is slightly off.
  • Honest and trustworthy with cash and confidential information.
  • Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets; exposure to Peachtree or QuickBooks is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Eager to learn – detail matters to us, so read the application form instructions carefully.
  • What We Offer
  • A real career start: hands-on training and mentorship from our Accountant and Finance & Operations Head, with a clear growth path.
  • Professional Growth: exposure to donor-funded projects, audit processes, system implementation, and real business acumen – you will see how a creative social enterprise is run end to end.
  • A Mission-Driven Environment: your work directly supports Ethiopian children, families, and caregivers.
  • Stability: a 1-year contract with a strong likelihood of extension based on performance.
  • Competitive junior-level salary, plus an annual performance bonus.
