About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Human Resources Officer to join our HR team. The successful candidate will support day-to-day HR operations, assist in recruitment and onboarding, maintain employee records, and help ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including posting vacancies, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR databases.
  • Assist in attendance management, leave administration, and employee record keeping.
  • Prepare HR-related letters, reports, and documentation.
  • Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in implementing HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate employee training and development activities.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.

About You

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Good knowledge of Ethiopian Labor Proclamation and HR best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS or payroll systems is an advantage.
  • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, or HR administration is preferred.
